懷念的中小學歌曲：清溪水慢慢流（Flow Gently, Sweet Afton）

 

還記得這首「清溪水慢慢流」？她在小學音樂課本被採用了幾十年，有著濃濃的蘇格蘭調，已成為台灣人的共同回憶。

 

十八世紀的詩人羅伯‧邦斯(Robert,Burns)作了一首Sweet Afton的詩。阿頓河(Afton Water)是蘇格蘭的一條小河。到了十九世紀，美國肯塔基州的一位律師、牧師兼作曲家史匹漫（Jonathan Spilman）把詩譜成歌曲，“Flow gently,sweet Afton”開始傳唱於世。

 

這首歌的中文譯曲有許多種，比較有名的有兩首，一首是《清溪水慢慢流》，另一首叫做《阿頓河》。

 

《清溪水慢慢流》歌詞如下：

 

清溪水，慢慢流，穿過青草地，

慢慢流，聽我歌唱讚美你，

我瑪麗安睡著在靜水之邊，

清溪水，慢慢流，莫擾她安眠。

 

鷓鴣鳥山上叫，聲音很幽婉，

老烏鴉在樹梢，呼聲沈而遠。

清溪水，慢慢流，泉水輕輕湧，

請你們莫吵鬧，讓瑪麗作夢。

 

《阿頓河》歌詞如下：

 

阿頓河,慢慢流,兩岸緣油油

山蒼蒼,風景好,好像催眠曲

我瑪麗,小姑娘,窈窕夢裡遊

烏雲髮,芙蓉臉,時有笑容浮

 

在山上有石屋,石壁,石廳堂

這是我和瑪麗,最愛玩的地方

在這裡可避寒風,亦可避驕陽

更欣賞紅晚霞,相看牧羔羊
