大地的蒸鍋
沸騰八月的南方
像跳蚤被悶死在潮濕的大衣裡
微小歹毒的死亡
瀕臨絕望的倦怠
支配人們的情緒
汽車在無情的陽光下曝烤
人們緩慢地移動
在冒煙的街道
膽戰心驚

廣場高牆上的招牌
占領熱烘烘的角落
旗幟飄揚天際
抵抗太陽的吞噬
深入雲端的風箏
蒸發一團火焰
刺傷白日的眼

窗外灼熱的草地上
顫動的緬梔樹
在陽光下
投射黑色的影子
螞蟻豎起發燙的腳跟
吃力地走著
風是酷熱的午後
唯一的祝福

穿著制服的警察
腋窩下兩攤新月
取締路邊的小販
充氣娃娃逐漸溶解
紅唇與假睫毛
哨聲與汗漬
在交織的車輛裡
一起流向十字路口

接近絕望的疲勞

汽車曝佇無情的日頭下
人慢慢啊徙動
佇嗆煙的街路
心頭驚惶
廣場牆仔頂的廣告牌
占領著燒滾滾的路頭
旗仔佇天頂飛
抵抗欲gah伊吞落去的日頭
鑽入雲內的風吹
化做一團火焰
刺傷白日的目睭
窗ah外焰熱的草埔頂
緬梔樹佇日頭下震動
投射黑色的影
蚼蟻躡跤尾使力咧行路
驚予打馬膠燙著
風是焰熱的午後
唯一的祝福
穿著制服的警察
過腋孔下跤兩個新月型的汗漬
取締路邊的小販
充氣娃娃漸漸消風
紅嘴唇佮假目睭毛
口哨仔聲佮汗水
佇來來去去的車輛中
做伙流向十字路口

The Heat
Steamer the earth
Boiling the south in August
Like fleas suffocated in a wet coat
A small yet vicious death
The fatigue on a brink of despair
Dominated the people's emotions
The cars are baked under the merciless sun
People moved slowly
On the smoking street
Trembled with panic
The signs on a high wall
Occupying the hot corner
The flags flew in the sky
Defied the swallow of the sun
The kites were deep in the clouds
Evaporating a flame
Stabbed the day’s eyes
The burnt grass outside the window
Plumeria quivered in the sun
Casted the shadow in black
The ants lifted their heels
Walking difficultly
In the hot afternoon
Wind was the only blessing
The police in uniform
Two crescent shapes of sweats in the armpits
Banned the street hawker
Gradually dissolved the inflatable doll
Red lips and false eyelashes
Whistle and perspiration
Mixed in the vehicles
Flowing to the junction of cross roads
